Before You Begin
Before installing your theme, make sure you have a working WordPress installation, administrator access, and a hosting environment that meets the requirements listed for your theme.
TIP — Recommended: Create a fresh backup before changing an existing website.
01 — Download Your Theme
Download the theme package from your LA Studio account or the marketplace where you purchased it. Unzip the main download if necessary and locate the installable WordPress theme .zip file.
TIP — Keep the original download in a safe place for future reference.
02 — Install & Activate
In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme. Select the installable theme ZIP, choose Install Now, and activate the theme after installation completes.
TIP — If WordPress reports that the stylesheet is missing, you may be uploading the full package instead of the installable theme file.
03 — Install Required Plugins
After activation, follow the theme notice to install the required and recommended plugins. These plugins provide features used by the theme demos and page layouts.
TIP — Only activate plugins you actually need. Keeping the site lean can help performance and maintenance.
04 — Import Demo Content
If your theme includes one-click demo import, open the demo importer and choose the layout closest to the website you want to build. Allow the import to finish before navigating away.
TIP — Demo import is a starting point. Replace demo images, text, products and settings with your own content.
05 — Basic Configuration
Set your site identity, logo, menus, homepage, typography, colors, WooCommerce settings, permalinks and other essential options before making detailed page edits.
TIP — Configure the global settings first so your pages inherit a consistent visual system.
06 — Start Customizing
Open the pages you want to edit and replace demo content with your own branding, copy and imagery. Build reusable sections where possible and check desktop, tablet and mobile layouts as you work.
TIP — Make changes gradually and preview important pages before publishing them.
